The Acan Coral is a large polyp stony (LPS) coral often referred to as a Lobo, Open Brain Coral, and Meat Coral. It has fleshy polyps that hide its calcareous skeleton. Due to its hardiness, it makes an excellent coral for the beginning through expert reef aquarist.

These brain corals will take food readily for maximal growth.
