The Red Hermit crab has vibrant blue eyes. They are scavengers and will snack on detritus and food that have not been eaten by fish. Like other hermits they are not exactly reef safe as they may attack snails to take their shells. It is best to have extra empty shells in the aquarium in help to reduce possible snail attacks.
