Tan Banded Eye Hermit (Paguristes tortugae)

The Tan Banded Eye Hermit is a great addition for a clean up crew. They like to eat hair algae and scavenge in the aquarium. They can grow up to 2 inches. They are safe around corals but may attack hermits and snails for their shells. They seem to prefer Astrea and Murex snail type shells. It is best to add some empty shells in the aquarium to avoid any issues.
