Tiger Cowrie has an egg-shaped spotted glossy shell. The shells are in high demand for an aquarium as well as souvenir shops. Their color differ depending on the geographical location. They can reach up to 4 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 30 gallons. Tiger Cowrie prefer a rock aquarium with plenty of hiding places. While they are somewhat small, it will eat some algae and scavenge for scraps. Adult size may eat anemones, sponges, and some soft corals. They are best housed with starfish, sea urchins, and tube worms in a reef aquariums. Do not house with Condylactis. Like other snails they can not tolerate copper based medications and low nitrate level.
