The new addition to the aquarium trade is Blue Legged Pistol Shrimp, Alpheus sp. It is beneficial shrimp which will constantly move gravel making them excellent sand stirrers in the reef aquarium, as well as scavenging any uneaten fish food. They can form a symbiotic relationship with watchman and prawn gobies. Though with the Blue Legged Pistol Shrimp it is a hit or miss when pairing. If they do pair up they will build a burrow in which they live together and protect each other. Please leave comment if you have a size preference and we will try our best to accommodate. Drip acclimate for about 1 hour with the goal tripling the water volume in the bag during that time.
