Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon meleagris)

The Guinea Fowl Wrasse also known as Leopard Wrasse is a well sought-after fish. Females are white with black/ brown spots to blue margins all over its body. Males have Orange/red back with green mottled coloring. They can reach up to 6 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 90 gallons with plenty of rock. They also require a sand bed to sleep and hide. A tight fitted lid is required to make sure they do not jump. This wrasse is reef safe and peaceful. Their diet consists of mysis, brine, and other meaty food. They may also take some high-quality flake and pellet food.
