The Yellow Mouth Grouper is a very shy fish.  This grouper is very easy to take care of, but it will grow to a very large size. This grouper can reach up to 28 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 300 gallons with plenty of swimming room as well as rock for caves to rest. The aquarium will need very good infiltration and water flow. They are an aggressive fish and are not considered reef safe as they will eat anything they can fit in their mouths like inverts, shrimp, and small fish. Their diet consists of meaty food like shrimp, krill, and small fish.
