The Raccoon Butterflyfish is a peaceful fish. They can reach up to 8 inches in length. This fish will require an aquarium of at least 125 gallons with plenty of swimming space, rocks to hide and forage on. They are not considered reef safe as they will nip at corals, fan worms, and small inverts. If you are wanting to add more than one Raccoon Butterflyfish to a large aquarium, make sure they are close in size and add them at the same time. Their diet consists of Mysis, brines, and other meaty foods and they will sometimes eat high quality flakes.
