The Purple Queen Anthias sometimes referred to as Princess Anthias can grow up to 3.5 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 70 gallons with plenty of swim room and some rockwork to hide. If you are putting these anthias into an aquarium they should be put in first before any territorial and fast moving fish. Like other Anthias these are hermaphroditic so if the male dies the largest female will morph and take over. Their diet consists of mysis, brines, and other meaty foods. They may take high quality flake and pellet foods. Anthias should be fed 2-3 times daily.
