The Aussie Big Polyp Blastomussa Coral is sometimes referred to as a Branched Cup or Pineapple coral. It is a large polyp stony (LPS) coral that will form round, inflated polyp tentacles as it grows.

This Australian coral has larger polyps, and grows in fused, tubular clusters in a similar manner to its close relative Blastomussa Merletti. The Aussie Large Polyp Blastomussa Coral is fairly hardy, especially in an established aquarium. It does best in areas with moderate light levels and  lower water flow. Since it has no sweeper tentacles, it is considered a peaceful coral.
