The Candy Pencil Wrasse is a peaceful fish. They can grow up to 5 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 75 gallons or more with plenty of rock to hide and will need a sand bed to sleep in. They are not considered reef safe as they may nip at small inverts and shrimp. Males like this one can be kept with multiple females but to keep an eye out for aggression with other types of wrasses in smaller aquariums. Some say this wrasse eats montipora eating nudibranchs and others say no. This wrasses diet consists of meaty foods.
